A day spent on the road to Gavilan offers an opportunity to find Cinereous Partridge, Greater Yellow-headed Vulture, Black-spotted Barbet, many bands, Green and Ivory-billed aracaris, Yellow-ridged toucan beak and Red, Spangled Cotinga, Olive Oriole, Opal-rumped and Yellow-backed Tanagers.

As if these two areas were not enough, there's the Laguna Provincial Just 15 minutes north of Puerto Ayacucho. For birdwatchers a visit to the state of Amazonas, is a great opportunity to increase their life lists.
