Do we have the opportunity to actually go in to the jungle?
YES - In all our Amazonas expeditions we will devote a considerable amount of time in the jungle. It is a vast land full of trees. It is a very dense vegetation biome, with a wide variety of species. The concept was changing over time: today, the notion of forest is associated with tropical forests that develop in warm, moist areas.
The rain may have from trees over 30 meters high to molds and mosses at ground level. They, therefore, with high biodiversity (limited number of copies of the same species in each unit area). Moreover, environmental conditions make that rain retain a large amount of fresh water.
The forests are often referred to as the green lung of the world and its mass of trees observed carbon dioxide and releases oxygen into the atmosphere.
